Futaba Denshi was established in 1948 as a manufacturer and seller of receiver vacuum tubes. Utilizing vacuum tube technology, Futaba began manufacturing fluorescent tube displays. In 1962 Futaba began producing radio control equipment as well as press and punching die components, establishing what still remains as two of the company’s primary divisions. This was followed by the development of mold base components and digital position readout systems, and the more recent addition of Vacuum Fluorescent Display tube modules to complete the lineup of Futaba’s major products. Firmly embracing the principle of manufacturing each component in-house, Futaba creates everything from its own tools to its own manufacturing facilities. The soundness of this strategy is validated by our ever growing list of awards for consistent, high-quality products. Today Futaba Corporation is the world leader in Vacuum Fluorescent Flat Panel Display (VFD) used in automotive and consumer products and Radio Control Systems for both hobby and industrial applications.
PIAA Corporation was established in 1963 with the commitment to manufacture world-class products that our customers could use with pride and confidence. Then, PIAA built its reputation with winning products. We became the industry leader thanks to our race-proven, easy-to-install lamps and bulbs and lifetime warranty. Our product quality and service stands apart. As does our race results. Baja 1000. Paris-Dakar. SCORE Offroad. 24 Hours of Daytona. US Pro Rally. 12 Hours ATV America. Moto-ST. PIAA helped win them all. Repeatedly.
Back in the 70’s when 4WD’s were few and far between, three adventure seeking mates got their ‘off road thrill’ with customised Volkswagen Beetles supped up as beach buggies. Each fitted with custom made bull bars, roll bars and sand tyres – they drew the attention of friends and bystanders. Before long, Lloyd Taylor, Cliff Jones and Steve Mollenhauer were making hand-made custom bars for a growing number of fans. As the demand continued to grow, they decided it was time to get serious. In 1973, with little more than their combined initials, shared passion and appreciation for quality products – TJM was founded and the rest is history. They were pioneers and TJM became the first company in Australia to manufacture and distribute quality 4WD equipment. Our product range has extensively grown to include; steel and alloy bull bars, nudge bars, side and rear protection bars, side steps, trade racks, roof racks, TJM recovery equipment, TJM winches, TJM XGS suspension, Airtec snorkels, TJM Pro Lockers and TJM roof top tents & awnings. While TJM has grown to be a sophisticated operation, we have never forgotten the key elements that resulted in the formation of the brand.
Since the beginning, Dragon set out to be the leading independent eyewear and accessories brand in the active youth lifestyle market by supporting the best athletes with the best product, while remaining connected to core retailers and consumers. That mission still holds true today and is the driving force behind the company’s success and heritage. In 1993, in a garage in Capo Beach, CA, founder Will Howard aimed to build a company that encompassed his passions for surfing, snowboarding, and riding dirt bikes. Enthusiasm and knowledge of the market bore Dragon’s first and still primary product, sunglasses. The company began distributing to local surf shops before expanding to Hawaii and Florida, and later Australia and other international markets. Dragon gradually extended its reach as well, developing innovative, diversified products in all eyewear categories. With an emphasis on creating functional, high-quality merchandise that appealed to the youth market and pushed the status quo, Dragon introduced a number of innovative products early on. “We saw an opportunity to add snow goggles to the lineup by aligning ourselves with the emerging snowboard market,” says founder Will Howard. “We loved riding and realized snowboarders were treated as second-class citizens just like we were as a start-up, so we thought that would be a good match.” From there, Dragon recruited snowboarders Jamie Lynn, Chris Roach, and a few others. Many years and many ride days later, Dragon has established itself as a leader in the snow goggle business. More recently, Dragon’s innovative approach has lead to further market-leading developments, including the first-ever sunglasses and goggles made from 100% renewable origins. The development of the ECO (Environmentally Conscious Optics) series, a product originally inspired by longtime Dragon team surfer Rob Machado, represents the ambitious, avant-garde, athlete-inspired mindset that Dragon was founded upon. Through it all, Dragon has continued to be true to its roots. Original snow team rider Jamie Lynn, along with Dragon’s first surf team rider, Shane Dorian, remain on the team roster today. With top-tier product and athletes in mind, Dragon’s roster has grown to include some of the best surfers, snowboarders, moto riders, and wakeboarders in the world. Still run by the founder, Dragon remains a youthful, free-thinking, alternative, edgy brand that appeals to the core participants of action sports. Dragon endures as one of the few independent brands in its field, and will continue to grow and lead the youth lifestyle market.

Dwane Oliver – Custom knife maker since 2004. As many people do, I enjoy a good knife, only problem was I couldn’t afford one. Solution … learn to make knives. I am a self taught maker. I learned a lot from the Internet, a wonderful tool. I began making custom handmade knives in 2004. I do not use grinding jigs or CNC machines, these knives are all hand-made and shaped. I have sold knives all over the United States, Ireland, England , and Australia. I had several knives in the Iraq war and with my sons in the Marine Corps.
As with all of my knives, the G6 SK (G6 denotes the RECON G6 Challenge and SK denotes Survival Knife) is made to stand the test of time. The High Carbon 1095 Steel is precision ground (by my 2 hands) to a rugged size with a durable edge. The handle materials on a G6 SK are chosen for their durability in any conditions, wet or dry, hot or cold. Handles are always textured to give maximum grip , even is slippery situations. Removable Ferrocerium firesteel is placed in the handle to get you out of a tough spot on a cold night. Add a good Para-Cord lanyard, and you have the makings of a real tool for the outdoor adventure seeker. The Kydex sheath is heat molded to each individual knife. The tubular rivets that hold the sheath together are grouped in a Tek-Lok or a Molle-Lok pattern. Handling the G6 SK is truly ambidextrous and can be worn in any direction.
AN IDEA BORN FROM THE MOST BASIC HUMAN NEED — THIRST
It’s 1988. Bicycle enthusiast, Michael Eidson, is competing in the “Hotter’N Hell 100.” And that’s exactly what it is: a 100-mile road race in the grueling summer heat of Wichita Falls, Texas. Water is vital to surviving the race, and there are few places to refill a water bottle. Eidson, an emergency medical technician by trade, decides to fill an IV bag with water and slip it into a white tube sock. Yes, a tube sock. Then he stuffs the contraption into the back of his bike jersey, throws the thin hose over his shoulder and clamps it with a clothespin. Hands-free hydration is born. And Eidson is able to drink as he pedals…while the other racers laugh and fiddle with their water bottles.
OPERATION HYDRATION — THE ROAD TO SURVIVAL
Jeff Wemmer, a competitive cyclist who fell hard for CamelBak, was so impressed by the product that he started bringing packs to races to sell them. Talk about a fan. CamelBak eventually hired him, and in 1993, Jeff embarked on a road trip to keep the start-up running during very tough times. Company lore has it that Jeff visited bike shops from Florida to California, pitching our renegade product from the back of his motorcycle. Each order Jeff faxed back to the factory literally breathed another day of life back into CamelBak.
THE REST IS HISTORY
It took courage, conviction and imagination to evolve from an IV bag in a tube sock sold by a motorcycle-driven sales force of one. Our core values remain the same and drive everything we do – from inventing the hydration category to becoming the world’s leading maker of hydration solutions. Oh yeah…about those bikers who laughed at Eidson? Well, chances are they’ve got a CamelBak strapped to their back or in their bike cage these days. Go figure…
