Axial WCC Qualifier at Lucia Falls

Axial held it’s first West Coast Championship Qualifier this past weekend at Lucia Falls in Washington. Winning this event gets you a paid invite to the Axial West Coast Championships in Donner California, one of the biggest, baddest R/C rock crawling events of the year!! The comp location of Lucia Falls was absolutely amazing. The scenery was awesome, the terrain was killer, the waterfalls were picturesque and the competition was tough. One of the best comp spots I’ve ever been too personally. Endless lines to choose from for a competition of this level was a key factor to the success of this event. BPRCA’s very own mad scientist/course designer Brian Parker was on hand and laid out some of the funnest courses I’ve ever had the pleasure of running on. Brian threw in almost every situation possible to test man and machine in this epic back country location. Here’s a handful of pics from last Sunday’s comp.

After all was said and done Sunday afternoon everyone left with a smile on their face. It was one of the best comps I’ve attended. If you are ever up in the great Pacific Northwest, and are into R/C rock crawling, you must make a stop at Lucia Falls for some crawling. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it!!
