Installing the Axial Light Buckets

Here is a quick How-To, on installing the Axial Light Buckets on a lexan body.

Part needed:

AX80045 - Axial Light Bucket Set (Black)

AX80049 - Axial LED Lens Set – Yellow/Clear (4pcs)

AX24257 - Simple LED Controller w/LED lights (4 white and 2 red)

Once you have a good idea of where you want to install the light buckets.  Take a body reamer and make two starting holes.

Make sure you don’t go over, the light buckets do have a small lip on them so you have some space. Just take your time and slowly open up the holes to size.

Next I took my Exacto blade and removed the remaining material.

The Axial Light Buckets are very easy to install and give a really clean finished look.

Then lastly, pop on the lens. I used yellow for the side marker.

  1. That rocks!!!! Hope you dont mind if I use that idea for the side markers and tail-lights on my Dingo body.

  2. That is sweet. So when we order a light set does it come with the buckets and lenses? or are they separate?

    • Hey Ed, you buy the light buckets and lenses separate so you have the choice of color. Here are the part #’s: AX80045 Axial Light Bucket Set (Black), AX80049 Axial LED Lens Set – Yellow/Clear (4pcs), AX80053 Axial Light Bucket Set (Chrome)

  3. how did you get it to stay on the body and did you do the same with the rear lights?
